You already use AI tools to think through your research. Until now, getting Sprig data into them meant screenshotting charts, exporting CSVs, or pasting responses one block at a time. Send to AI Tools removes that step. Click once, pick your tool, and it opens with your Sprig content already loaded and ready to work with. *** ## What it does Send to AI Tools packages the content you are looking at in Sprig and opens it in ChatGPT or Claude in a new tab. The content arrives as a pre-loaded prompt, so you can start asking questions immediately: "summarize the top themes," "compare this to what you'd expect for a checkout flow," "turn this into three slides for my team." Nothing is sent automatically or in the background. Data only moves when you click the button, and only the content you are viewing at that moment. ## Where you'll find it The **Send to AI Tools** button appears in three places: **1. Study data** On any study's results view. Sends the aggregated results for the questions in view: response counts, breakdowns by option, scale distributions, and completion stats. If you have filters applied (by date range, audience, or attribute), only the filtered view is sent. **2. Responses** On the responses view for open-text questions. Sends the individual responses currently in view, along with the question they answered. Filters apply here too: if you've narrowed to a segment or theme, only those responses are included. **3. Study Reports** On any Study Report generated by the Synthesize Agent. Sends the full report: the TL;DR, findings, recommendations, and method notes. This is the fastest way to keep working with a report, whether that's pressure-testing a conclusion, drafting a stakeholder update, or combining it with data from outside Sprig. ## How to use it 1. Open the study data, responses, or Study Report you want to work with. 2. Click **Send to AI Tools**. 3. Choose **the AI tool** 4. A new tab opens in the tool you chose, with your Sprig content loaded as a prompt. Add your question and go. ## What actually gets sent, and where it goes The content goes from your browser directly to the AI tool you chose, into your own ChatGPT or Claude account. Sprig does not send your data to OpenAI or Anthropic on your behalf, and does not store a copy of what you send. Once the content is in ChatGPT or Claude, it is governed by that tool's terms and your account settings there (for example, whether your workspace allows training on conversations). A few things worth knowing: * You can only send content you already have permission to see in Sprig. The button never exposes anything beyond your current view. * If you're unsure what your organization allows, check with your admin before sending raw responses to an external tool. ## Powered by the Sprig MCP connector Send to AI Tools runs on Sprig's MCP connector, the same secure connection that lets AI tools read Sprig data directly. Here's what that means in practice: * **One-time setup per tool.** The first time you send to a tool, you'll authorize the connection by signing in with your Sprig account. After that, every send is one click. * **Read-only by design.** The connector can read your Sprig data; it cannot change or delete anything in your account. * **Your admin holds the keys.** Admins choose which AI tools can connect to your workspace and can control access to individual responses separately from aggregated results. For full setup instructions and the security model, see ...... ## Ideas for what to ask once it's open * "Summarize the top 3 themes in these responses and pull one representative quote for each." * "What follow-up questions should I ask in my next study based on this data?" * "Rewrite this Study Report as a 5-bullet Slack update for my product team." * "Which of these findings would you challenge, and what evidence would change your mind?" ## FAQ **Does this cost anything or require a specific plan?** No, it is included in all Enterprise plans **Can admins turn this off?** Yes, admin can turn off the MCP connector for that specific AI tool which will remove this option. **Is there a size limit?** Very large data sets or long response lists may exceed what the AI tool can accept in a single prompt. If that happens, send one question's data at a time.
