Quick Start Guide

Overview

Long-Form Surveys are the fastest way to start collecting insights with Sprig. They require no SDK installation, no developer involvement, and can be live within minutes. Here’s all it takes:

1. Create your survey: Build from scratch, use one of 70+ expert-made templates, or let Sprig AI generate a first draft for you based on your research goal.
2. Customize questions and logic: Add question types, configure skip logic, set up translations, and tailor the design to match your brand.
3. Deliver your survey: Share via a link across email, SMS, QR code, or embed directly in your product, no code needed.

Getting Started

Create a Sprig Account

Create your account at sprig.com/signup. You can invite teammates to collaborate on surveys at any time.

Create Your First Long-Form Survey

Navigate to app.sprig.com/create and choose one of four ways to get started:

• Start from Scratch - Click + New Study and select “Long-Form Survey.”
• Use a Template - Select Create from a Template to choose from 70+ pre-built, expert-made survey templates or a custom company template.
• Build with AI - Select Create with AI, describe your research goal, and let Sprig generate a starting point for you.
• Duplicate an Existing Survey - Copy any previous Long-Form Survey and edit it as needed.

Build Your Survey

Once inside the Study Editor, you can:

• Add and reorder questions (drag-and-drop)
• Choose from a wide variety of question types - including NPS, rating scales, multiple choice, open text, and more
• Apply skip logic, randomization, and response piping to create a personalized, bias-free experience
• Mark questions as required, or allow respondents to skip
• Add survey translations for multi-language audiences
• Choose between Sprig Standard or Conversational UI design styles

Set Your Audience & Response Goals

In the Audience tab, configure how long you want to collect responses: by a target number, a specific end date, or on an ongoing basis.

Deliver Your Survey

Long-Form Surveys are delivered via a unique shareable link. You can distribute it:

• By email or SMS - paste the link into your existing outreach tools
• As a QR code - generated instantly in Sprig, ready for events, printed materials, or slide decks
• Embedded in your product - link from a Sprig In-Product Survey to seamlessly hand off users
• Via User Interviews - recruit and survey research participants through Sprig’s built-in integration

Analyze Results

Once responses start coming in, Sprig’s built-in AI Insights automatically surfaces themes and patterns across open-text responses, the same analysis available across all Sprig study types.
